Start a Blog!

Do you enjoy a certain topic, or would you love to learn more about that topic? Blogging could be for you! Maybe you think that you’re not the best writer in the world, or you’d have no idea how to even begin the process of starting a blog, but friend let me tell you, you can definitely do it.

Check out this extensive post on how you (yes, you!) can create your own blog right now. Head on over to that blog post to get all of the details you’ll need to get started. The best part of blogging? You’re the boss, and you ultimately control how much money you earn every month!

Psst, I’ll let you in on a little secret: I’ve always loved writing, but never in a million years would I have thought I’d start a blog and be able to make money from it. But here I am doing it, and I’m so grateful for the creative outlet it’s turned out to be and for the chance to make some extra money ($$$) every month.

And if I can do it, so can you!

Use Ebates for cash back

I’m crazy about Ebates!

This site is kind of like having a credit card in the sense that you are getting cash back rewards for your everyday purchases.

Even today, I shopped online with Sephora, and I was able to earn 2.5% back on my purchase. Shopaholics beware!!

Ebates is great for anybody who does most of their shopping online, and there are SO many companies that give you cash back, you’ll love this one!

Here is only a small list of the companies you probably already shop at that offer cash back through Ebates:

  • Amazon
  • Macy’s
  • ALDO
  • Walmart
  • Target
  • Kohl’s
  • Old Navy
  • Ulta

That’s FREE money, in case you missed it. Sound like something you’d be interested in? Sign up by clicking here through my affiliate link, and you’ll get $10 automatically when you purchase anything over $25!

Survey Sites to make money

Does the idea of taking surveys while you binge-watch Netflix sound too good to be true? Well, it isn’t!

You’ve probably heard of survey sites before, but maybe you’ve never “pulled the trigger” and went for it. I’m here to tell you that you should. If you’re looking to make $1,000’s a month doing these surveys, it might not be the option you’re looking for.

You can make upwards of $100+ on these survey sites if you’re diligent in applying to qualify for the various surveys sent out and also keeping up with the offers or trials that you’re able to do to earn money.

That’s an extra $100 or more in your bank account every month. A little extra cash for you every month sounds great right?

Note: With survey sites, you’re giving out personal information so be careful where you input this information. Also, a very helpful tip that somebody told me a long time ago– create a separate email address for these sites so that you’re not using your personal email address. Believe me, it will clutter your inbox up!

Sell Your Old Clothes

If you’re like me, your wardrobe builds up rather quickly. Often, I buy more clothes than I get rid of. Which leads to an over-crowded closet. Have extra clothes you need to get off your hands? Sell them!

Poshmark is a great site that several of my friends have used to sell clothes or items they don’t need any more in their wardrobes. Update: I started using Poshmark this summer and it’s been great!! Super simple to use and a great way to turn a profit.

Use my code for $10 off your next purchase.

With ThredUp you can use their clothes calculator to figure out how much your clothes are worth and then send them in (free with FedEx or UPS) and receive up to 80% of the value of your clothes.

Tradesy lets you upload a photo of the item you’re trying to sell and then proposes a price for it, but you’re able to set the price at whatever amount you want. They have a lower commission at 9% that they keep on the sell, which is lower than other online options out there.

Rent Your Clothes Out Instead

Maybe you’re not ready to part with a certain piece in your wardrobe, but you’d still like to make money off of it. It’s possible, just rent it out to somebody who wants to wear or use it!

A few sites you can check out to rent out your clothes include SnapGoods, Zilok, Loanables, RentNotBuy.

SnapGood and Zilok both have safety nets that protect the item you’re renting out, which is important to think about if you’re deciding to rent and not sell. You don’t want your clothing damaged with no means of receiving anything for those damages!

Sell Your Old Things

It’s crazy how many things we collect throughout our lifetimes. It all adds up. I mean, seriously.

Ready to do a little Spring cleaning or are you just ready to de-clutter your life and home a little? Or maybe you’re just looking for a good way to do all of this AND make money doing it. Sounds like a plan, here are your options:

Ebay. Amazon. Garage Sale. Craigslist. You probably are well aware of these, but they’re great options to sell your old stuff.

A few others not as well known that you can check out are the following…

LetGo App – You can sell it all on here.

OfferUp – Sell anything from furniture to old kitchen items to those in your area. I’ve used this one with a lot of success!

Facebook Marketplace is also a great place to sell your old stuff to friends and others in your area.

Nearo – Post tickets for concerts or festivals that you no longer want to or can no longer attend. Exchange tickets for another show or festival or receive a full refund.

BookScouter – Sell your old books you no longer need on here.

Glambot– Sell makeup items (not used) in good condition.

Bet on Your Fitness or Weight Goals

I’m sure you’ve heard the phrase “Kill two birds with one stone.” I feel like this applies to this scenario.

If you’re looking to lose weight (aren’t we all?) this could be for you. Wouldn’t it be much more motivating if you were able to get paid for it?

Does this sound too good to be true? It’s not! On Healthywage you can bet on your weight loss goals. If you lose the weight, you win the money you bet. Easy as that. If you don’t lose the weight, your money goes towards supporting the others on HealthyWage who are also betting that they’ll lose weight.

That’s some good motivation to lose weight, isn’t it?

Rent out Your Car

Why have a car if you aren’t generating some extra cash from it every month, right? Or maybe you need some money to make sure you have gas money for the month…either way, you can use your car to make money

Driving for Uber and Lyft are great ways to make extra money throughout the month. All you need is a smartphone and a car. You can set your own hours and work as little or as much as you want.

If you don’t like the idea of a random stranger getting into your car, there’s always the option of still using your car to deliver food or groceries to people who will pay for these services. Check out apps like UberEats, Postmates, or Instacart to learn more about how you can get involved and make some extra money.

There’s also an option to rent out your car to somebody who might need it. Use the GetAround app to sign up and find your first renter!

Rent out a room in your house

Have some extra room that’s not being used for anything in your home? Use it to your advantage and make some money from it!

Sign up for Airbnb as a host and let others who are traveling or in town for the night rent it out.

Sell Skills on Fiverr

Have a secret talent? Or maybe a not-so-secret talent that you think others out there could benefit from? Try advertising your skills on Fiverr to make some extra cash.

Examples could include your marketing skills, logo designing, coding, writing, even creating PowerPoints! Fiverr is a great way to get noticed for a skill that you already have–might as well get paid to be skilled right? ; )

Roverr

Love animals? Sign up to take care of peoples’ pets when they are out of town or can’t be home to do basic things like feed or walk their animals. There’s even the option to house-sit combined with pet-sitting for the owners while they are out of town. My sister has done this several times to earn some extra cash to pay for rent and school, and she loves it!

Transcribe to make money

Are you a fast typer or do you have the skill of listening and being able to write it all down quickly? Well, if you do, and you’re interested in potentially earning up to $25/hour, this could be for you. There are several sites out there that will pay you to transcribe (aka take audio and put it in writing).

Transcribing is great because you can set your own hours and you can choose to work as much or as little as you’d like. Awesome, right?

If you’re new to transcribing here are a few sites you can look into to land a gig.

Maybe writing isn’t your thing. You’d rather take somebody else’s writing and edit it, tweak it, make it its best self. Writers need a second or third eye on their content to make sure they’re putting out their best work.

Here are a few sites to check out to get started with this side hustle.

I would highly recommend her paid course as you’ll learn SO much, just check out the reviews on the website, they speak volumes. Most of her students earn back what they paid for the course within a few months of proofreading.
